HENRYVILLE, Ind. – Drury women's golf opened their first tournament of the fall season on Monday as a part of the UIndy Fall Invitational. The Panthers finished day one of the two-day tournament in 10th place.
The Panthers are being led by
Jade Carter, who is 10-over through two rounds. Carter is one stroke in front of
Grace Stafford, who sits tied for 32nd.
Tiffin's Laura Goetz paces the field, shooting six-under through 32 holes. Missouri-St. Louis is the only team to shoot under par (-1) and leads the tournament entering day two.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Jade Carter improved from round one to round two, going from 79 to 75.
- Three of the five Drury golfers started and ended the first round with a par.
- Grace Stafford and Jade Carter both had four birdies over the two rounds.
- Three of Stafford's four birdies were in the second round.
- Freshmen Chloe Wills and Grace Gilbert got their first collegiate start.
