SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Lady Panthers will host William Jewell on Sunday, January 4, in search of their fourth win in five games.

Drury will enter play on Sunday following their best offensive game of the season, in which they scored 80 points against Rockhurst, including 44 in the first half. The Lady Panthers will try to keep William Jewell winless. The Cardinals are 0-10 under first-year head coach Jenni Croy.

Fans may follow the action through the GLVC Sports Network (subscription required), where games will be streamed live throughout the regular season. New for the 2025-26 academic year, viewing access to GLVC regular season and postseason broadcasts will be available via monthly subscription ($30) or annual subscription ($140). Single-event access can also be purchased for $15. All Drury Lady Panthers games will also have free live audio coverage on DU All-Access.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Drury leads the all-time series against William Jewell 24-3.
  • The Lady Panthers have won 19 straight games against the Cardinals.
  • While playing in Springfield, Drury is 14-1 with the only loss being in the 2012-13 season.
  • Kaci Bailey is 4-0 against William Jewell as the Drury head coach, winning by 25.3 points on average.

STORYLINES
  • Sunday's game will be the second of a four-game stretch at home for the Lady Panthers and six of eight in The O'.
  • Drury (4-0) enters play as one of two GLVC teams still undefeated, UMSL, which is 5-0.
  • Since Kaci Bailey has taken the reins of the Lady Panthers, Drury is 16-2 in January and 9-0 while playing in O'Reilly Family Event Center.
  • Sara Mendel is the league's reigning player of the week. Mendel averaged 18.5 points on 77.3 percent shooting from the field and 12 rebounds per game against Union and Arkansas-Fort Smith. During that week, she picked up her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season.
  • Against Rockhurst, Mendel recorded her third straight double-double with a 14-point, 10-rebound performance. She is now ranked tied for 4th in NCAA Division II in double-doubles this season and leads the GLVC.
  • Now with seven through 11 games, Mendel is the only Lady Panther in history to have that many double-doubles over the first 11 games of a season.
  • Rhi Gibbons extended her double-digit scoring streak against Rockhurst to 11 games to start the season and 15 games dating back to last season.
  • Kaylee King has turned her season around after a slow start. King scored just 15 points in the first four games of the season. She has averaged 10.8 points over the last seven games, with six games being 10+ points and the last five reaching the 10-point mark.
  • Against Rockhurst, Drury had five players make their Lady Panther debut: Brooklyn Owens, Brooke Teter, Flora Lukow, Ellie Wells, and Charlee Bailey.
  • William Jewell enters play winless, 0-10, under first-year head coach Jenni Croy.
  • Jewell is being outscored by 22 points a game this season.
  • There is not a single Cardinal averaging double-digit points or rebounds, with their top scorer, Jariah Harris (9.6), not playing since December 1.
  • Drury has 195 wins in O'Reilly Family Event Center in the venue's first 16 seasons. If the Lady Panthers were to win their next five home games, they would reach 200 wins in just 222 games. If that were to happen, it would happen on January 24 against Indianapolis.

LOOKING AHEAD
Drury returns to the court Thursday (Jan. 8) against Missouri S&T at O'Reilly Family Event Center for a 5:45 p.m. tip-off.
