INDIANAPOLIS — After leading the Panthers to a season-opening dual victory over Missouri S&T, Drury senior Yuri Cabral picked up Athletic Solutions Great Lakes Valley Conference Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Cabral netted his first weekly GLVC honor after spearheading a trio of Drury victories, in addition to breaking a pair of Missouri S&T pool records. The Sao Paulo native claimed the individual win and facility record in the 50 Free with his time of 19.87 as one of seven individual winners for the Panthers, who cruised to the 141-64 win over the Miners.

Cabral also eclipsed the previous S&T pool mark in the 100 Free as part of DU's 400 Free Relay (3:05.10) win with his split of 43.69. He helped the Panthers to gold in the 400 Medley Relay as well, anchoring the win (3:20.84) with a time of 45.08.
