Eckenroth's Third-Place Finish Highlights Bryan Clay Trip

AZUSA, Calif. – The Drury men's and women's track and field teams sent seven athletes to the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific, April 16-18, with Cera Eckenroth's third-place finish highlighting the Panthers' trip.
 
On the first day, the Panthers competed in the 10,000 meters. Josie Diffendaffer had the highest finish on day one, placing 18th in the Open B in 37:47.17, ranking fifth in program history. 
 
For the men, Topi Alahuhta competed in the Open A and finished 37th in 30:38.67, ranking third in program history. Ethan Haynes placed 58th in the same section in 31:37.44. 
 
Cera Eckenroth led the Panthers on day two with her third-place finish in the Open B 5,000 meters, breaking the school record with a time of 16:52.50. 
 
Arturo Martinez and Nolan Moeller both competed in the 800 meters. Martinez placed 43rd in the Open A in 1:51.26, ranking second in program history. Moeller competed in the invite section, finishing 57th in 1:49.57, less than a second off his Drury record.
 
On day three, Kyle Keltner closed the trip with the 1,500 meters, placing 164th in the Open A in 3:58.77.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
Drury track and field is set to compete at the GLVC Outdoor Championships, set for April 30-May 2.
