SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Chloe Wills tied for third to lead Drury women's golf to a fourth-place finish at the Kansas City Cup.
 
The tournament was played at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri, on a par-72 course measuring 5,866 yards. The 54-hole event featured eight teams, all from the GLVC.
 
Illinois Springfield (+66) won the tournament, followed by Rockhurst (+71) and Lincoln (+81). Drury (+102) placed fourth, ahead of host William Jewell (+112).
 
Maryville's Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro (E) led the field, shooting even in every round. Gracie Russell of Illinois Springfield finished second at +8. Wills of Drury and Kaathi Gunasegar of Lincoln tied for third at +13. Phoebe Bourne was Drury's second-highest finisher, shooting 23 over to place 16th.
 
TOURNAMENT NOTES

• Wills' third-place finish was the highest of her career.
• Wills averaged even on both par 3s and par 5s.
• Wills and Bourne each recorded six birdies, tied for third-most in the field.
• As a team, Drury had 19 birdies, third-most among all teams.
• Bourne led the field after the first round, shooting even.
• Drury's opening-round 313 was its lowest of the three-round event.
