COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou swept the Drury men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the Mizzou Aquatic Center on Friday with a 133-81 win in men's action and a 135-87 victory in women's competition.
In women's action
Sarah Pullen claimed first in the 500 Free with a time of (5:02.24) followed by teammate
Leah Reed in second (5:03.63).
Rebekah Laupp won the three meter board with a 268.28 total in diving action. The women's 200 Free Relay team also captured first place Friday.
Ariel Xu claimed a pair of second place finishes with those coming in the 50 Free (23.64) and the 100 Free (51.03).
The DU women turned in three third place finishes with
Kay Gieseke in the 100 Free (52.06),
Wai Ting Yu in the 200 Free (1:54.46) and
Lucie Jolly in the 100 Breast (1:05.07).
Fourth place finishes Friday came from
Leah Reed in the 200 IM touching in 2:05.94, newcomer
Vera Rohlin Johansson in the 100 Fly (57.05),
Zuza Chwadeczko in the 100 Breast (1:05.15) and
Wan Yi Janice Poon in the 50 Free (25.01).
In men's action Drury claimed three first place finishes. Daniel Rzadkowski took first in the 200 Free (1:39.14), Samuel Olson took first in the 100 Fly (49.59) and Sean Feher was the top finisher in the 100 Back (49.24).
The Drury men also won the 200 Free Relay with a time of (1:23.06).
Olson was second in the 50 Free (20.70) and Rzadkowski was second in the 100 Free (45.26).
Kacper Pelczynski turned in a second place finish in the 100 Breast (55.60) as did Stanislav Kuzmin in the 100 Fly (49.68) and Fahad Alkhaldi was second in the 1000 Free (9:33.57). Pelczynski also had a very good showing with a third in the 200 IM (1:53.08).
