ST. LOUIS, Mo. – After a five-set loss on Friday night, Drury bounced back with a 3-0 victory at Maryville on Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.
Drury improved to 10-5 and 4-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Maryville dropped to 2-13 and 1-5 in the league.
The Panthers trailed 23-22 in the first but came back to win the opening set 27-25. Drury rolled from there winning the second set 25-14 and the third 25-20.
Drury's Brooke Antenen had 12 kills and 20 assists while McKenna Poynter had 22 digs. Kendra Sater added 22 assists and served two aces.
The Panthers return home for three games next week starting on Tuesday. Drury hosts Missouri S&T at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center
