AURORA, Ill. – Drury concluded play at the Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover Tournament with a 3-0 shutout over Trevecca Nazarene followed by a 3-0 loss to Findlay on Saturday at the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Illinois.
The Panthers posted 25-23 wins in the first two sets vs. Trevecca followed by a 25-16 third set win. Drury was led by
Sarah Kite with 14 kills and a .407 hitting mark and
Brooke Antenen who posted 12 kills, 19 assists and 16 digs.
Findlay took the nightcap 3-0 by scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-22 and hit .370 with 49 kills and 12 errors in 100 attacks. Hannah Tong finished with a team-high 17 kills and hit .333 and Amanda Winner had 13 kills and hit .462.
Kite led the Panthers with eight kills and Antenen added 22 assists.
Drury moves to 14-7 while Trevecca Nazarene dropped to 12-8 and Findlay improved to 15-5.
Drury face Southwest Baptist in a non-conference contest in Bolivar on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
