QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy moved into a second place tie with Drury in the Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division with a 3-1 over the Panthers on Saturday at Pepsi Arena in Quincy, Illinois.
Drury dropped to 16-8 and 7-4 in the GLVC. Quincy improved to 13-10 and also went to 7-4 in league play.
The Hawks won the opening set 25-21 but Drury routed Quincy in the second set 25-14. After Quincy outlasted the Panthers 26-24 in the third, Drury had a 21-20 lead in the fourth set, but the Hawks rallied to take five the last seven points to win the match.
Brooke Antenen had 18 kills to lead the Panthers while
McKenna Poynter had 24 digs and two service aces.
The Panthers are back on the road next weekend. Drury is at Bellarmine on Friday for a 6 p.m. (central) match in Louisville, Ky.
