INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Drury finished their weekend conference road trip with a 3-1 win at Indianapolis on Saturday. The win is the seventh victory in eight games for the Panthers and improved their record to 9-4 and 3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Indianapolis dropped to 4-8 and 2-2 in the GLVC.
Drury won the first two sets and got pushed to a fourth after a 25-20 win by the Greyhounds in the third. UIndy owned a 19-15 lead in the fourth set, but the Panthers rallied to tie it at 19-19. With the score even at 23-23, Drury took advantage of a Greyhounds error and Tori Foster clinched the win for the Panthers with a kill.
Brooke Antenen led Drury with 13 kills and 26 assists. Bentley Mara and Emmalee Chrest both had a dozen kills while McKenna Poynter added 25 digs.
The Panthers are back on the road for two conference games next weekend. Drury is at Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night and at Maryville on Saturday afternoon.
