SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury ended their second regular season as an intercollegiate wrestling program on a high note as the Panthers won their third straight dual with a 30-12 win over Ouachita Baptist on Friday afternoon at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Drury broke a 9-9 tie with a win by fall from
Ben Stahlman at 157 pounds. The sophomore from House Springs, Missouri pinned Sean Butler in 2:10 to give Stahlman his team-leading 24
th win of the year.
At 174 pounds, Drury's
Jacob Brune also got a win by fall in 4:35 against Joseph Santos. The Panthers put the match away with wins from
Collin Huitt at 184 pounds, 197-pounder
Trenton Clines and heavyweight
Ben Melton.
Drury's record improved to 4-10 while Ouachita Baptist dropped to 0-6.
The Panthers head to the NCAA-II Super 3 Region Championship in St. Cloud, Minnesota for their next action. The postseason tournament is Feb. 23-24 at Halenbeck Hall on the campus of St. Cloud State.
