SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury and Upper Iowa battled to a scoreless tie in a game shortened by inclement weather on Friday night at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex in Springfield.
Drury ended the night 0-2-1 while Upper Iowa's record went to 0-1-2.
Lightning delayed the start of the game by 40 minutes, then with 7:04 remaining in regulation, another weather delay forced a lengthy stoppage, and the game was declared official.
The Panthers had a 13-5 advantage in shots with 10 of Drury's shots coming in the second half.
Jamie O'Brien had three shots for the Panthers with two of them on goal.
Drury goalkeeper Nic Helin had two saves in the game while Upper Iowa goalie Nikolai Gogol made three stops.
The Panthers are home again on Sunday when they host Wisconsin-Parkside at noon at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
