SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The 20th ranked Drury Panthers posted a 5-2 victory over Newman on Sunday at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
Drury claimed the doubles point to start the match with wins of 6-3 at the one and two spots and a 6-4 victory at the three spot in the Panther lineup.
Drury won four of the six singles matches , with
Paul Porcher winning the final match by a score of 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 over Jarrod Nowak.
The Panthers improved to 6-0 while Newman dropped to 4-3-1.
Drury returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 28, against McKendree at the Cooper Tennis Complex with first serve set for 6 p.m.
