SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —The #20 Drury men's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over Cameron to win their season opener Friday evening at Cooper Tennis Complex.
Drury opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches, taking wins over the Aggies by scores of 7-6 at the top of the lineup and 6-4 at the 2-3 spots.
In singles action Cameron fought out two wins at the 2 and 3 positions, but Drury proved too much with the bottom of the lineup taking 4-6 spots. Key three set wins were posted by
Nico Hadeler at the top of the lineup by a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 tally and by Isaac Ogilvy at No. 5 by scores of 7-6, 2-6, 6-4.
On February 9th, Drury will play host to Washburn at Cooper Tennis Complex at 10:15 a.m.
