SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The 20th ranked Drury Panthers picked up their second straight win to start the season as they rallied past Washburn 4-3 on Sunday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
Drury lost two of the three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0, but won four out of six in singles to take the win.
 
Nico Hadeler, playing in Drury's top singles position, won 6-3, 6-3 over Paul Haase, and Sylvain Garin-Michau won his match 6-2, 6-2. Gregor Kokalj also won in straight sets with a 6-4, 6-3 victory, and Sunday's match hinged on Paul Porcher's battle with Miquel Perez. Porcher clinched Drury's win with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 victory.
 
The Panthers improved to 2-0 while Washburn fell to 0-2.
 
Drury returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 14, against Harding at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
