SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury men's tennis team remained unbeaten on the season, posting a 6-1 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
DU swept the Screaming Eagles in doubles play, winning 6-2, 6-3, and 6-4 respectively at spots one through three.
Drury posted wins in five of the six matches with USI able to claim a three set victory at No. 6 by scores of 6-3, 5-7(10-7).
Paul Porcher won a three setter for the Panthers at No. 5 by a final of 6-7, 6-3(10-5).
The Panthers remains undefeated at 8-0 while Southern Indiana slipped to 4-2.
Drury returns to the court on Sunday, March 8, when they will host Northwest Missouri State at the Cooper Tennis Complex with first serve set for 10:15 a.m.
