HAMLIN, Ky.—Drury's
Cole Breeden and
Cameron Smith finished 21
st out of 127 boats at the Fishing League Worldwide Open on Kentucky Lake in Hamlin, Kentucky, last weekend and their finish qualifies them for the FLW National Championship next spring.
Breeden, a junior from Lebanon, Missouri, and Smith a senior from Ozark, Missouri, landed six fish in the four-day event totaling 13 pounds, 11 ounces. Grayson Morris and Jacob Pfundt, a duo from the University of Montevallo, won the tournament catching 10 fish for a total of 25 pounds, four ounces.
Cole Godwin and
Dylan Chambers from Drury finished 67
th with two fish at 4 pounds, 8 ounces, while
Jacob Welch and
Lee Lambrecht came in 69
th with three fish at four pounds and five ounces.
It marked the second time the Panthers have competed in a tournament in 2020-21.
Drury finished the 2019-20 ranked eighth nationally in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year points race.
