SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The seven-ranked Drury Panthers swept Missouri Valley 7-0 on Saturday to pick up their first win of 2021.
 
Drury raised their record to 1-1 while the Vikings fell to 2-1.
 
The Panthers won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. The doubles team of Arthur Sarlet and Sylvain Garin-Michaud won 6-1 and Isaac Ogilvy and Lukas Stierling clinched the point with a 6-3 victory.
 
Sarlet, a freshman from Nantes, France, defeated his singles opponent 6-1, 6-1, while Garin-Michaud picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Stierling was taken to a third set tie-breaker but prevailed 3-6, 6-1, 10-6, to complete the sweep. 
 
Drury competes again on Fri., Feb. 19, when they host Oklahoma Baptist for an 8 pm match on the Cooper Tennis Complex indoor courts.
