SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The seventh-ranked Drury Panthers improved to 2-1 with a 7-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Friday.
The loss dropped the Bison to 0-3.
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead, winning two of the three doubles matches.
Augustin Diot and
Isaac Ogilvy, playing in the number two doubles position, won 6-1, as did Drury's number three doubles team of
Pranav Sadhvani and
Lukas Stierling.
Drury then won all six singles matches. The Panthers' lead singles player,
Nico Hadeler, needed three sets to defeat Aaron Brewer but came away with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-0 victory to complete the sweep for Drury.
Arthur Sarlet won his match 6-1, 6-0, and
Augustin Diot cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win playing in DU's number two singles position.
Drury returns to the court on Sunday when they host Newman at 10:15 am at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
