SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Panthers won four of six singles matches on their way to edging McKendree 4-3 at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Sunday.
The Panthers fell behind 1-0 after falling in two of the three doubles matches.
Nico Hadeler, playing in Drury's lead singles position, recovered from a 6-1 loss to win his match-up against Vishnu Prasad (1-6, 7-6, 6-3). The Panthers also got wins from
Augustin Diot,
Marlon Wilken, and
Lukas Stierling to win the match by one point.
Drury improved to 6-3 as they won their second-straight match by a 4-3 score. They dropped the Bearcats to 1-2.
The Panthers return to the court on Friday when they host Harding at noon at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
