SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Both of Drury's swimming & diving teams picked up wins over Oklahoma Christian and celebrated Senior Day at the Breech Pool in Springfield on Saturday. The Drury women's squad won 213-59, while the men's team earned a 170-105 victory.
Women's Highlights
- Allison Weber dominated the 1000 Free winning with a time of 10:08.38, and she returned to win the 500 Free (5:01.16)
- Morgan Gullette took first in the 200 Free with a time of 1:56.82 to win by nearly four seconds. She then won eh 200 Back by more then 10 seconds recording a time of 2:01.05
- Luisa Machado won the 100 Breast (1:04.59), and the 200 TIM (2:04.62)
- The 200 Fly was a tight race between two Panthers as Mackenzie Harris was first (2:03.13) and Rafael Raurich was just behind with a time of 2:03.90
- Lexi Basler clocked a time of 23.60 to win the 50 Free
- Yasmin Preusse won the 100 Free hitting the wall at 51.40
- Rafael Raurich won the 100 Fly with a time of 55.90
Men's Highlights
- Newcomer Mikita Tsmyh won the 200 Free (1:40.26)
- Ahmed Wahby won the 100 Back by nearly four seconds with a time of 48.54
- Andrew Rodriguez took the 200 Fly (1:51.10)
- Alex Bowen posted a time of 20.63 to win the 50 Free
- Nathan Bighetti dominated the 200 Back winning by nearly eight seconds (1:47.43)
- Felipe Zapata won the 100 Fly with a time of 48.53
- Davi Mourao took first in the 200 IM (1:54.07)
The Panthers compete again in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championships Feb. 9-12 in Elkhart, Indiana.
