OWENSBORO, Ky.— The Drury Panthers won the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational on Sunday after shooting a team score of 635. The Panthers began the day two shots off the lead and in third place. The tournament consisted of a nine-team field including fellow Great Lakes Valley Conference members: McKendree, Lewis, and Quincy. The Panthers separated themselves from the field on Sunday and went on to win by six shots.

Isabelle Thrall led the Panthers with rounds of 78 and 77. Thrall's combined score of 155 was enough to place her in a tie for third for the tournament. Carmen Fletcher finished in a tie for eighth after putting up rounds of 79 and 80. Shehna Akbary moved up 11 places to finish T-12th after firing a 77 in her final round. Abby Howard finished T-15th and Grace Stafford placed T-18th to help secure the victory for Drury.

The Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational was the last tournament of the fall season for the Panthers as well as their first team win on the year. The Panthers will be back in action this spring when the season re-opens.
