SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— 22^nd ranked Washburn squeaked past Drury 4-3 on Sunday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
The Ichabods took a 1-0 lead winning all three doubles matches. Five of the six singles matches went to three sets as Washburn clinched the match with Sabastian Pjontek's win, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Lukas Stierling. Drury's lead singles player, Slyvain Garin-Michaud battled Raul-Alin Dicu for a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 victory, while Luis Dobelmann and Mark Drozdetckii also earned three-set victories.
 
The Panthers, who are getting votes for the top 25, fell to 4-2, while Washburn improved to 6-1.
 
Drury returns to action on Friday against 14^th ranked Northwest Missouri State at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
