OWASSO, Okla.— The Drury men's golf team moved up two spots in the third and final round to finish fourth in the 10-team field at the Hillcat Classic hosted by Rogers State at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso, Oklahoma, on Tuesday.
Rogers State won the tournament with a seven-over-par, 871. The Hillcats won by 14 shots over second-place over Union (Tenn.), while Missouri Southern State came in third, shooting 42-over-par.
Chase Gafner led Drury as he finished tied for 12
th at 11-over-par and a three-round score of 227.
Walker Tynes tied for 22
nd at 15-over-par, while
Tony Brandt was 17-over and tied for 24
th.
Hunter Jowers and
Jack Cronin both tied for 33
rd with 20-over-par scores and
Clayton Kaiser went 26-over with a 242.
Luke Palmowski from Rogers State won individual honors shooting a six-under-par, 210.
Drury returns to action next week in the Lindenwood Invitational at Missouri Bluffs in St. Charles, Missouri.
