ST. LOUIS, Mo.— Maryville rallied to knock off Drury 4-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Friday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Complex in St. Louis.
 
The loss knocked out a Drury team that had gone 5-0 in the conference regular season and won the West Division title. The Panthers fell to 9-7 with the loss. Maryville, the fourth seed from East Division, improved to 9-7 and advanced to the GLVC semifinals, where they will play McKendree on Saturday.
 
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead after doubles play but fought for the point as they won two of the three matches as Jip De Buck and Mark Drozdetckii edged the Saints number three duo 7-6 in the deciding match.
 
Drozdetckii won his singles match in the number six spot, 6-1, 6-2 over Juan Suero, and the Panthers were a point away from advancing when Marlon Wilken got a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Jose Hernandez. But the Saints two the final two matches that both went three sets. Sebastian Trigosso outlasted Luis Dobelmann 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, and Jack Beutell-Triggs rebounded from a first set loss to defeat Lukas Stierling 5-7, 6-1, 6-4.
