WARRENSBURG, Mo.— The Drury men's golf team finished 16
th among 21 teams at The Mule, hosted by Central Missouri in Warrensburg on Tuesday. The Panthers shot 307 in the final round and ended the tournament at 51-over-par.
13
th ranked Rogers State won the tournament posting an eight-under-par 832 and won the event by nine shots over Harding. 16
th ranked Central Missouri came in third with a three-over-par 843.
Hunter Jowers led the Panthers finishing in a tie for 43
rd in a field of 108 players shooting a +9, 219. The freshman from Jonesboro, Arkansas, had Drury's best round on Tuesday, shooting a three-over-par 75 in the final round.
Chase Gafner tied for 60
th, shooting a 12-over-par 222, and
Tony Brandt tied for 74
th at 16-over, 226.
Walker Tynes ended the tournament with a 17-over-par 277 to tie for 77
th, while Manuel Zorrilla shot 240 to finish at +30 and tied for 104
th.
Harding's Sam Tandy won individual medalist honors shooting a -6, 204. Tandy won the event by two shots over Aiden Gavey from Rogers State.
The Panthers return to action April 15-17 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis, Indiana.
