SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury improved to 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 6-1 win over Rockhurst on Friday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
The Panthers evened their overall record to 6-6 while the Hawks dropped to 7-6 and 1-1 in the GLVC.
 
Drury took a 1-0 lead winning two of the three doubles matches. The Panthers got wins for their number one and number two teams as Sylvain Garin-Michaud and Lukas Stierling, along with Luis Dobelmann and Marlon Wilken, both got 6-1 wins.
 
Drury won five of the six singles matches with Garin-Michaud, ranked 74^th nationally in singles, defeated Semen Tsyrenov 6-4, 6-2. Mark Drozdetckii went three sets and outlasted Andres Sahagun 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
 
The Panthers are back in action on Saturday and will host William Jewell on Senior Day with a match starting at 11 am at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
