BOLIVAR, Mo.— The Panthers posted a third place finish among 15 teams as they hosted the Drury Invitational at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar.
The second and final round was completed on Tuesday and the Panthers finished with a 41-over-par 617 in the 36-hole tournament. Christian Brothers won the tournament shooting a +34, 610, and Illinois Springfield was second at 39-over-par (615).
Taryn Overstreet led Drury and finished tied for seventh in the field of 89 players, shooting a +9 153 in the tournament. The junior from Jackson, Missouri, shot a 75 on Monday and followed with a 78 on Tuesday.
Isabelle Thrall and
Abby Howard both tied for 10
th, shooting a +10, 154. Howard had the best round of the tournament for Drury on Tuesday as she shot a one-over-par 73.
Carmen Fletcher tied for 20
th (+13, 157), and
Grace Stafford tied for 46
th (+19, 163).
Shehna Akbary led Drury's individual players as she finished tied for 13
th, shooting an 11-over-par 155.
Heather McLean from Illinois Springfield won the tournament's individual championship, finishing with a five-over-par 149 to edge five other players by one stroke.
The Panthers are idle until Oct. 17-18, when they play in the Music City Invitational hosted by Trevecca Nazarene in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
