SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury's
Hunter Jowers has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, for his play at the Flyer Intercollegiate Invitational at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
Jowers, a junior from Jonesboro, Ark., earned the award after shooting two rounds of 70 and finishing at four under par for the tournament. Jowers finished in second place in the 71-player field individually, helping the Panthers place second as a team. The award is Jowers second of his career and second on the season, last winning on the week of September 21
st of this year.
Jowers is the only Drury men's player to win the conference honor since Clayton Larsen won the award on Oct. 10, 2019.Â
The Drury men's golf team returns to action Oct. 9-10 in the Midwest Fall Regional, hosted by Missouri - St. Louis, at the Country Club at St. Albans.
