ROLLA, Mo. – The Drury Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to Missouri S&T on Saturday to compete in the Miner Invitational.

The Panthers produced a solid showing headlined by a first-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles by Bria Armstrong with a time of 14.97. Armstrong also placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a jump of 11.79 meters (38' 8.25"). In the women's 1500-meter run, three Panthers finished in the top five with Luz Olivera finishing second with a time of 4:44.54. Zoe Van Dijk finished fourth with a time of 4:51.56 and Kamile Vaidziulyte finished fifth with a time of 4:56.18. Margaux Shelton provided the only field event top-five finish as she placed third in the women's high jump with a jump of 1.57 meters (5' 1.75") and finished fifth in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.44.

 On the men's side, Cole Sutton finished third in the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 3:56.96 and finished fourth in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.60. JP Godwin was the only other top-five finisher for Drury as he came in fifth in the men's 110-meter hurdles running a time of 15.77. Byron King set a new school record in the men's discus throw with a throw of 36.13 meters (118' 6").

The Panthers will split their squads next weekend and compete on Friday, March 31 at Southwest Baptist in the Bearcat Invitational, as well as at the Washington University Distance Carnival in St. Louis.
