SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Drury Volleyball got back to conference play following their 3-0 weekend at the Midwest Regional Crossover. The Panthers fell to Illinois Springfield 3-0.

The Panthers started the night off strong, going up 6-2 on the Prairie Stars. UIS turned the corner and regained the lead to go up 20-15. Drury battled and was the first to 25, but the Stars ended the first set on a 4-1 run, winning 28-26. Springfield did not start the second set slow. They did not let the Panthers lead the entire set, winning 25-16. UIS had more of the same to start the third set, going up on the Panthers, 21-14. Drury went on a run of their own, 10-4, it just happened to be too little too late. Illinois Springfield took the third set 26-24.

Kayli Duncan and
Mailie Chretien recorded the most kills on the Panthers side with seven. Chretien also had 15 digs.
Payton Mitchell had double-digit digs with 12.
Lauren Tyler had 23 assists.

Drury returns to the court tomorrow against #20 Quincy at 3 pm.
