KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Drury's women's soccer team got back to action with a 1-1 tie against Rockhurst behind a late goal by
Leah McDonald.

The game started with a blitz by Rockhurst. The Hawks controlled most of the offense in the first part of the first half with four shots in the beginning 45. In the ninth minute, Lizzo Rosenthal found the net on a deflection for the Hawks giving them an early lead. The Panthers shut down Rockhurst for the rest of the half and into the final 45, allowing only one shot. Drury picked the pace up on their offensive side with 13 shots, six on net, in the second half. In the dwindling minutes of the match,
Leah McDonald found nylon to knot the game up at one.

Ines Villanueva Casal and
Kourtney Tucker both assisted on the McDonald goal in the 88
th minute.
Tara Simon led the Drury charge with five shots, three on goal.
Katy Fitzler had one save. The Panthers defense allowed their most shots in a game, five, since October 6.
