ROLLA, Mo – Drury Volleyball started the weekend with a 3-2 loss to Missouri S&T.

Drury started the game off strong with a 25-20 win in set one. The Panthers only trailed in set one when it was 1-0. The following set was back and forth. With the score at 23-22, Miners, S&T was able to pull out two straight points to win the second set. The third set saw S&T go on a 5-0 run in the middle of the set and then a separate 5-1 run a bit later. This propelled a Miner to win 25-22. Drury battled back in the fourth set, down 16-12, the Panthers went on a 14-5 run and stole the set away from S&T. The decisive set was a coin flip. Both teams battled and both teams went on runs, but a three-point swing at the end of the set gave the Miners the 16-14 victory.

Kayli Duncan was tied in the match for the most kills with 17 on .412 hitting.
Kyla Clubb ended up with 15 and
Gracie Kimrey had 10. Through the five sets,
Lauren Tyler recorded 49 assists.
Mailie Chretien led the charge with 24 digs.

The Panthers play in St. Louis tomorrow against Maryville at 3 pm.
