SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury volleyball swept Southwest Baptist behind a strong offensive game from
Kayli Duncan and
Kaitlin Fasbender on the defensive end.

The Panthers fell behind in the first set, 4-0. The Bearcats the held the lead all the way until 19-19, when Drury went on a 6-3 run to end the first set. The second set was all Panthers holding the lead from wire to wire, 25-18. The third set was back and forth for both teams. SBU pulled ahead to a 13-7 lead before a timeout called by Drury turned the tide. Following the timeout, the Panthers went on an 18-9 run to pull the win out 25-22.

Kayli Duncan hit .367 with 14 kills to lead the game. Also offensively,
Lauren Tyler recorded 26 assists.
Abby Renshaw and
Grace Gardner each totaled eight kills. On the defensive end,
Kaitlin Fasbender had four block assists and two solos.
Jenna LaBarge led the Panthers with 18 digs.

Drury returns to the court next Friday against William Jewell at 6 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
