SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury Volleyball drops their final home game of the season in four sets to Rockhurst.
Rockhurst started the game off with a 7-2 lead. Drury was able to tie it up at eight, but this put the Hawks in motion and gave Rockhurst the win 25-13. The second set was similar to the first expect Drury was unable to tie the entire set and lost 25-13. Drury had a change in pace in the third set. A back-and-forth set saw the Panthers take four straight to gain a 17-15 lead. Drury did not look back and won the set 25-21. The Panthers looked like their momentum would carry them to a fifth set, keeping pace with Rockhurst the entire time. Drury was the first to 25, but extra points gave Rockhurst the win after they closed on three points, 27-25.
Mailie Chretien had 11 kills and 17 digs.
Kayli Duncan recorded ten kills and four block assists. Duncan was able to move into tenth all time on the Drury block list with a half block in the first set.
Lauren Tyler had 30 of the 41 assists.
Kim Quinit led the way with 17 digs.
The Panthers hit the road for the final weekend against McKendree and Missouri – St. Louis.
