Panthers finish 20th at NCAA-II Midwest Regional

ROMEOVILLE, Ill.– Drury ended the cross country season with a 20th place finish at the NCAA-II Midwest Regional Championships in Romeoville, Illinois, on Saturday.
 
The Panthers finished with 581 points in the 27-team field. Grand Valley State won the regional title with 20 points, while Lewis was second with 64 points and Cedarville was third with 146.
 
Josie Diffendaffer led Drury and finished 53rd in a field of 195 runners. The junior from Burthoud, Colorado, posted a time of 22:52.21 in the six-kilometer race. Jasmyn Douglas was 89th with a time of 23:33.06 and Morgan Miller came in 143rd (24:34.58). Georgi Carolus was one spot behind in 144th, crossing the line in 24:35.81, while Ashley Sexton finished 152nd (24:58.44). Kate Hull had a time of 26:30.37 and was 177th.
 
Kiley Lauren from Grand Valley State won the individual regional championship with a time of 20:57.78.
