CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.— Drury suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to seventh-ranked Columbus State 4-1 on Sunday in Chatanooga, Tennessee.
 
The Panthers, ranked 17^th nationally, fell to 6-1, while Columbus State improved to 7-3.
 
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead after winning two doubles matches, taking both by a 6-2 score.
 
Drury got their lone point as Marlon Wilken, ranked 53^rd nationally, defeated Justin Welz 6-3, 6-3. Sylvain Garin-Michaud battled 52rd ranked Daniel Hammond in a two-set loss, 7-5, 7-6 (7-1). Hammond's win clinched the fourth point for Columbus State.
 
The Panthers return to action on Monday in Chattanooga when they take on 16^th ranked North Georgia at 10 am (CST).
