SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury triathlon competes in the NCAA National Championship in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday, Nov. 8, starting at 11:30 a.m. (CST).
The Panthers are ranked No. 12 nationally across all NCAA divisions and No. 3 in Division II in the Oct. 22 postseason poll after an impressive regular season.
Drury triathlon is coming off its second straight NCAA West Regional title. The Panthers were the top Division II program and placed fifth overall out of 14 teams with 335 points. Alexis Workman led Drury as the individual champion of Division II, while four more Panthers finished in the top 10.
The Panthers have won all three competitions among Division II schools this season and look to make a statement on the national stage.
At last year's NCAA National Championships, the Panthers finished third in Division II, led by Kristina Vestman's ninth-place finish in 1:04:13.
The top seven individual finishers will earn first-team All-America honors, those placing 8-14 will earn second-team, and those finishing 15-21 will earn honorable mention.
Alexis Workman, Kristina Vestman, and Mayumi Shinozuka compete in the A wave at 4 p.m. (CST), while Tarryn Brumley, Cayman Barnes, Shrebi Maharjan, and Tylor Brino-Dean race in the B wave at 1:45 p.m. (CST).
