SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury started their weekend with a 5-2 win over Newman on the indoor courts at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Friday night. The Panthers improved to 4-2 and dropped the Jets to 3-2.

• Drury took a 1-0 lead as they swept all three doubles matches
• The Panthers won four of the six singles matches
• Lucas Reiber gave Drury a 3-1, winning his match at the number four position, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) over David Javadov
• Oscar Reis, playing in the number six match, clinched the win for the Panthers with a 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2) win over Andrea Bramai
