Drury men's track & field with best finish ever at GLVC Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— The Drury men's track & field team had their best finish ever at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships as they finished 4th following the second and final day of competition on Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Drury women's squad came in 11th.
 
Lincoln won the men's GLVC championship with 129 points, while Lewis finished second with 124, and Indianapolis was third with 76 points.
 
Lewis won the women's championship, totaling 182.5 points, and Lincoln was second with 113. Indianapolis was third with 101 points.
 
Sunday Highlights
  • Nolan Moeller was second in the 800 meter run and was edged by 0.60 seconds as the sophomore posted a time of 1:52.66
  • Drury had three men's runners place in the 3000 meter run. Tyler Harris finished second and was out of first by just 0.35 seconds as the sophomore from Springfield-Kickapoo had a time of 8:25.95. Gabe Bauer was fifth in the event (8:35.91) and Santiago Nunez was sixth (8:37.11)
  • Kyle Keltner was fourth in the mile in a tightly contested mile, finishing with a time of 4:19.21 and less than a second off the winning time
  • Caden Green was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.65)
  • Lauren Coleman finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.73
  •  Josie Diffendaffer placed for the second time in the meet with an eighth place finish in the 3000 meter run (10:16.96)
 
The NCAA-II Indoor Track & Field Championships are March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
