BOLIVAR, Mo.— Drury men's distance runner
Kyle Keltner won the 1500 meter run as the Panthers finished first, second, third and fourth in the event at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Southwest Baptist in Bolivar on Saturday. Drury also had runners compete at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Thursday.
Drury Women's Highlights
- Josie Diffendaffer was second among 31 runners in the 1500 meter run. Her time of 4:46.63 was just 1.21 seconds off the championship pace and was the eighth-best time in program history.
- Ashley Sexton was ninth in the 1500 (5:08.96)
- Lauren Coleman was third in the 200 meter dash and her time of 24.09 is the second-fastest mark ever at Drury
- Coleman was also fourth in the 100 meter dash, posting a time of 11.85
- Brylee Gogel was fourth in the 3000 meter steeplechase (12:55.06)
- Georgi Carolus was fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.40 and Morgan Miller was fifth in the event (2:25.57)
- Alya Diable was ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.92, the ninth-best time in program history
Drury Men's Highlights
- Kyle Keltner won the 1500 meter run and led a 1-2-3-4 finish in the event by Drury runners. Keltner posted a winning time of 3:51.23, the fourth-best time ever by a Panther runner. Nolan Moeller was second (3:54.91), Gabe Bauer was third (3:56.17), Colby Garner was fourth (3:59.43) and Topi Alahuhta was 10th (4:04.79).
- Caden Green was fourth in the 110 meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.23, third-best ever at Drury
- Luke Kerr finished fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.42, while Gideon Carter was eighth (1:00.24)
- Esais Baird came in ninth in the 400 meter dash and his time of 50.98 is the sixth-fastest time in program history
At WashU Distance Carnival
- Tyler Harris broke a program record in the 5000 meter run and was 9th among 22 runners in Section 13 of the event. His time of 14:28.11 broke a 15-year old mark, previously held by Jamie Villa Zapatero
- Santiago Nunez-Gonzalez was sixth among 19 competitors in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:27.24 and is th third-best time in team history
Drury track & field teams compete again and will celebrate Senior Day at the Springfield Showdown, hosted by Missouri State on April 4-5.
