SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury had their seven-match winning streak snapped as Southwest Baptist got a 4-3 win over the Panthers at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Saturday.
 
The Panthers fell to 10-3 and opened the Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule at 0-1. The Bearcats improved to 7-6 and 1-0 in the GLVC.
 
Highlights

• Southwest Baptist took a 1-0 lead, winning two of the three doubles matches. Oscar Reis and Alejandro Esquivel got the lone win in the round with a 6-3 win over Alejandro Sanchez and Bojan Radoman
• Yaroslav Sharyy, ranked 22^nd nationally in singles, went to 13-0 this spring with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Marco Silvia
• Matthieu Gachon won his match in number three singles, winning in a second set tie-breaker, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1)
• Lukas Rieber won in straight sets in the number four singles position
