AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Men's Tennis Academic All-American teams on June 4. Drury's Yaroslav Sharyy earned second-team honors.

Sharyy, a senior from Moscow, Russia, is graduating with a degree in finance. He has been a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection.

This season, Sharyy was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Senior Player of the Year. Sharyy was also named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Year and a First Team All-GLVC selection this spring. Sharyy also won Drury's Dr. Edsel Matthews Award, the highest honor given to a graduating student-athlete representing excellence in athletics and academics.

Sharyy went 15-2 for the Panthers during the spring season, playing exclusively in Drury's number-one singles position. He went 3-1 against nationally ranked opponents and ended the year ranked 28th in Division II singles. With doubles partner Lukas Rieber, Sharyy was also 15-2 in doubles and the duo went 2-0 against top 50 doubles teams. Sharyy and Rieber were ranked 23rd nationally at the end of the season.

Drury finished the season with a 13-6 record and a third straight berth to the national tournament.
