INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the third women's soccer Athletic Solutions Player of the Week on Sept. 22. Drury's
Katy Fitzler earned her second career GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.
A junior from O'Fallon, Mo., Fitzler led Drury to a 3-1 win over Missouri S&T and a 1-0 win over Lincoln last week, recording her 16th career shutout. Not only did she save a career-high nine shots in the victory over Missouri S&T, but her goals against average also dropped to .62, which stands as a Drury record. Over the weekend, Fitzler recorded 13 saves on 22 shots faced.
Earlier this season, Fitzler earned her first GLVC Defensive Player of the Week after her performance against Emporia State.
Drury will return to the field on Friday evening against No. 14 Maryville at Harrison Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 pm.
