INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its week three men's tennis player of the week on February 25. Drury's
Marco Romano earned the honor after a 2-0 weekend.
Romano and the Panthers had only one match, which came against Illinois Springfield on Feb. 22. Romano won his doubles match against the Prairie Stars with partner
Oscar Reis on the third line, 6-4. His singles win came on the second line with a straight set win, 6-0 and 6-2.
The honor is Romano's first career. He is the first Panther to earn the award since
Yaroslav Sharyy on April 2, 2025.
Drury is back on the court on Feb. 28 at Maryville for a 3 pm first serve in St. Louis.
