NEW ORLEANS – Drury tennis started its spring break trip to Louisiana with losses to Xavier, ending both teams' six-match winning streak.
MEN'S MATCH – No. 10 (NAIA) Xavier 6, Drury 1
- Xavier ranks tenth in NAIA, and they showed why early, winning the doubles point. Drury's second line of Oscar Reis and Marco Romano was able to win their match 7-5.
- Leading 1-0, the Gold clinched the match by winning the first three singles lines, all in three sets.
- The Panthers won their only point of the match on the fourth line from Tristan Stock. After dropping the first set 6-7, Stock rebounded with a 6-4 and 6-2 win.
- The singles match that did not go to a decisive set was the fifth line that Xavier won in straight sets.
- The loss ended Drury's six-match winning streak.
WOMEN'S MATCH – No. 6 (NAIA) Xavier 6, No. 49 Drury 1
- The sixth-ranked NAIA team, Xavier, swept the doubles line, handing the Panthers their first doubles point loss of the season.
- The Gold singles player maintained the momentum of their doubles win by winning five of the six singles lines.
- Leana Chanove lost her first match of the season. Maja Brnic beat Chanove in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2.
- Drury's Antanina Novik (second), Naz Yaver (third), and Ina Bechle (fourth) did not win a set to allow Xavier to clinch the win.
- Franca Piaggi won Drury's lone point of the afternoon on the fifth singles line. Piaggi had to go to a tiebreaking third set against Laure Lopez. Piaggi won 12-10 in that set.
- Ana Luisa Sathler Rosa won the second set on the sixth line but was unable to win the third.
- The loss ends Drury's six-match winning streak and undefeated season.
