NEW ORLEANS – Drury tennis finished their spring break trip to New Orleans with a loss to Dillard. The men's team dropped to 6-3 overall, and the women's team fell to a 6-2 record.
MEN'S MATCH – No. 39 (NAIA) Dillard 5, Drury 2
- The Blue Devils swept the doubles point, giving Dillard an early 1-0 advantage.
- Drury won their first point on the first singles line from Matthieu Gachon. Gachon won 6-3 and 6-4.
- The second Panthers point came from Tristan Stock on the second line. Stock won in three sets.
- Dillard swept the third through sixth line without dropping a set.
- The loss was the Panthers' second straight. It is the first time since the 2023 season that Drury has lost two straight regular-season matches.
WOMEN'S MATCH – Dillard 4, No. 49 Drury 3
- The Panthers dropped the doubles point with losses on the second and third lines.
- Franca Piaggi and Naz Yaver played their first match of the season together and won the top line 6-3.
- Yaver continued her momentum, winning the second singles line in a tie breaking third set, 10-8.
- Ina Bechle grabbed Drury's second point of the afternoon with a three-set win on the third singles line.
- On the fourth singles line, Franca Piaggi won a 17-15 tiebreaker for the Panthers' final point.
- The Blue Devils won the first, fifth, and sixth singles lines, all in straight sets.
- Drury has dropped back-to-back matches for the first time since the Panthers lost three straight to open the 2025 season.
