SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury men's and women's tennis head coach
Tim Garner has announced that he will relinquish his duties with both DU programs at the conclusion of the 2026 spring season.
Garner has accepted a position as head tennis professional at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
"Coach Garner has represented Drury and the tennis program at a high level for the past two years," said Drury Vice President and Director of Athletics
Nyla Milleson. "We appreciate the dedication and impact he has made on our student athletes."
During his tenure with the Panthers, Garner has guided the Drury men's program to a 35-15 record with two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. The women's team has posted a cumulative 31-15 mark under his leadership.
Panthers have accumulated a total of 11 All-GLVC honors during Garner's time at Drury, highlighted by
Yaroslav Sharyy's selection as 2025 GLVC Player of the Year and ITA Midwest Senior Player of the Year.
Garner previously served as an assistant coach for Drury from 2012-14, before spending time as head tennis professional at Frisco Community Tennis Center in Texas. He returned to Springfield to lead the Panthers in 2024.
A national search for the next leader of Drury's tennis programs will begin immediately.
The Panthers continue their 2026 campaign on Saturday (March 21) at Ouachita Baptist.
