ROLLA, Mo. – The Drury men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor season at the Miner Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T, March 20-21.
DAY ONE
Triple jump highlighted Day One as
Braden Baker and
Taylor Green finished third. Baker placed third with a jump of 13.73 meters, which ranks second in school history. Green placed third with a jump of 10.73 meters, ranking fourth in school history.
On the track side,
Lauren Coleman led the Panthers with a seventh-place finish in the 200 meters in 25.85. Ayla Diable followed in eighth in 25.87.
Jakob Buchberger led the men, placing 13th in the 200 meters in 22.52.
Rylan Malloy finished 20th in 22.71.
DAY TWO
In field events,
Gunner Bradshaw claimed a first-place finish in the high jump with a distance of 2.03 meters, ranking second in school history.
Bennett Weaver set a school record in the javelin with a throw of 48.74 meters, placing 13th.
Ethan Barr and
Braden Baker placed fifth and sixth in the long jump with distances of 6.55 and 6.53 meters.
On the women's side in field events, freshman
Anna Talbot set a school record in the long jump, finishing first with a distance of 5.72 meters.
Ella Crowder placed eighth in shot put with a distance of 11.01 meters, ranking second in school history. Freshman
Amelia White added a 10th-place finish in the javelin with a distance of 31.39 meters, ranking sixth in school history.
On the track,
Nolan Moeller led the Panthers on Day Two, finishing first in the men's 1,500 meters in 3:59.03.
Tion McLeish also had a strong performance in the 1,500 meters, placing ninth in 4:02.51.
Freshman
Qwentin Luginbill added a fourth-place finish in the 400 meters in 49.98, which ranks third in school history.
Adam Potocki finished fifth in the 800 meters in 1:59.56.
Caden Green ran a 15.46 in the 110-meter hurdles to place sixth, improving on his previous mark from last season.
Gideon Carter finished ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 57.58.
Josie Diffendaffer opened her outdoor season with a third-place finish in the women's 1,500 meters in 4:50.52.
Lauren Coleman finished fourth in the 100 meters in 12.21. Freshman
Anna Talbot finished 13th in 12.77.
Ayla Diable placed fifth in the 400 meters in 58.04, which ranks second in school history. Freshman Cayman Barnes added a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters in 2:25.20.
