INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its men's and women's tennis week seven player of the week honors on March 25. Drury swept both awards.
On the women's side,
Leana Chanove earned the honor for the third time this season, the most of any player on either men's or women's side. This past weekend, Chanove went 2-0, losing to Ouachita Baptist. In singles, Chanove won her seventh match on the top line of the season in straight sets. Chanove and her doubles partner,
Franca Piaggi, won the second line 7-5. She is now two singles wins away from the top 15 in program history.
Lukas Rieber won his first career GLVC Player of the Week honor on the men's side. Rieber and the now-ranked No. 44 Panthers beat No. 29 Ouachita Baptist 4-3. Rieber won his singles match 7-5 and 6-2 on the fifth line. In doubles, Rieber and
Matthieu Gachon won 6-4 on the third line.
Both men's and women's tennis teams are on the road March 29 at Northwest Missouri State.
